Alice in Wonderland: “Sometimes I believe in as many as six impossible things before breakfast.”
The Mad Hatter: “That is an excellent practice.”
These quotes from Alice in Wonderland became the inspiration for the Graduation Presentation of Part Time Class 2 at ARROJO Cosmetology School.
For a small but mighty group of three students who rose to the challenge of a task that many would deem impossible, this was apt. Along with the difficulties that come with learning a new craft, these students also battled to balance their daily lives with nighttime education.
Their experiences mirrored the story of Alice, who falls into the whimsical world of Wonderland. The adventures of our students — like Lewis Carroll’s protagonist — open eyes, and change lives forever.
For Graduation, the class hosted a Tea Party on April 27, 2012, to celebrate a year’s worth of hard work and big dreams. It represented the culmination of their education. Through their school “looking glass,” each student transformed a model with hair cutting, coloring, styling, make-up and fashion.
They delivered their presentation to more than 50 guests — and all were invited to a tea party celebration of their amazing achievements.
The students were presented with their Graduation Certificates and welcomed into the beauty industry by their educators, family and friends.
Sent off with a speech by Nick Arrojo, the students became professionals and walked out the door ready to begin their hairdressing journey, with skills newly learned.
Congratulations, Part Time Class 2! Your passion and courage inspire us and, like the Cheshire Cat, continue to be “Curiouser and curiouser!”

Congratulations to Part Time Class 2 on their amazing presentation. You took your personal experiences and made them into a theme that was current, modern and fun but still allowed you to personalize it and reflect your individual personalities. I really enjoyed your presentations and the tea party was spectacular
