The first class of ARROJO cosmetology students are now beauty school graduates.
Their graduation party presentation was the culmination of seven months work. With friends and family invited, each student showcased one model that was a reflection of their newfound technical and creative scope, and their own artistic interpretation of an era or theme.
What we saw was a stunning example of what can be achieved with great education.
From a slice of Marilyn Monroe inspired Americana to interpretations of rebels and lovers and bohemian chic we saw structure and texture, aggressive side-swept bangs and asymmetrical shape, scissor over comb and razor-cuts; we saw color bright and bold, soft and subtle.
In short: ten students, ten models, all different, all brilliant.
Speeches from Loretta (School Director) and Nick (School Founder) thanked family and friends for attendance and support, and eulogized about the enthusiasm of the students, and the importance of education.
Says Nick: “Our first class has set an incredible standard. They’ve committed to the program wholeheartedly and now they are set to reap the rewards. At ARROJO we believe education is the foundation of a lasting, prosperous, and rewarding career, and these presentations show how far the right training can take people who, seven months ago, didn’t know how to hold a comb. I’m supremely confident each student will build a great future in the industry. Some of you will be on TV, some of you will be salon owners, but whatever you do, vow to never stop learning”.
After the graduation certificates were presented, a surprise treat completed proceedings: four special awards, each with $350 gift card for the ARROJO advanced academy, where ARROJO master stylists facilitate educational seminars for licensed stylists.
The prizes went to Zach (best attendance), Huich, (best grade point average), Delisa (best retail figures), and Rachel (best service sales).
Hats off and congratulations to these ten future leaders of the hairdressing craft.

I cannot believe how far we’ve all come. Our final presentation models looked fabulous! I’m so proud of all of us and how much skill we’ve learned since being here. It’s been an amazing seven months and I know I’ll be walking away from this with a great foundation of knowledge and some amazing AMAZING, TALENTED friends. congratulations everyone!
We’ve worked way too hard for “hair school….”
I’d like to thank Gina, our teacher, for teaching us everything we know now as ARROJO cosmetology’s first graduating class.
She maintained the integrity of the ARROJO program by working us to the bone sometimes, at a really challenging pace, expecting everything from us. But at the same time Gina also became our friend. And allowed us to form friendships with our classmates that will hopefully last throughout our whole careers.
Here’s to one of the most challenging careers one could pick, but also the most creative and rewarding. I love the identity my new career has given me and have had the time of my life over the past 7 months.
Congratulations everyone!!!
