Inspired by her first four weeks at ARROJO Cosmetology, Kelly Kunkel, Class Six student, wrote this open letter to the school.
“Before starting at ARROJO Cosmetology School I was having a conversation with a friend who is a recent graduate of another cosmetology school here in New York City. We shared our mutual excitement for the industry, and he informed me that I would be attending “the Ivy League of beauty schools.” And he specifically said, “by the time you graduate, you will actually know how to cut hair, whereas I had to learn that afterwards.”
After four weeks at ARROJO, I am starting to understand what he meant. As students in the earliest stages of our development, we are being armed with great work habits, knowledge and precision–things that will make us great stylists. Everything is done with one hundred percent commitment.
Out teacher is also extremely talented. Arianna (the class educator) is nurturing, positive, patient, and fosters a comforting working and learning environment.
I know I made the right decision in attending ARROJO Cosmetology.”

The education I’ve received here at Arrojo has expanded my understanding of the industry, and has driven me to rise to the highest expectation of professionalism practiced in Arrojo school and salon. So far my experience at Arrojo has been wonderful. I’m not even close to being done and I’ve already learnt so much. I feel very grateful to Nick and his staff to take time out to give us this great education. Having Nick teach us the razor-cut was an amazing experience (not many professionals can say Nick taught them, never mind students!). It is impossible for me to put into words how much I have learned from my experience at Arrojo Cosmetology. Gina, my instructor is by far one of the best educators I have had since Kindergarden. The environment of the school and studio is excellent to learn from and a pleasure to be in everyday. From Nick to Loretta to my classmates everyone is incredibly supportive of one another and you can’t put a value to how much I’ve learned. I knew when I was first enrolled at Arrojo that I signed up to one of the best schools in the country, but months later I really know now that I had no idea. Arrojo Cosmetology School and it’s entire staff is The Best there is to offer.

I agree with everything Kelly said. Arrojo is definitely the beauty school most dedicated to it’s students. Arrojo students get so many opportunities others don’t get and we all appreciate that!
